Linnihan Foy is seeking a Content and Public Relations Specialist who will help provide our clients with exceptional writing and media relations support. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills with a strong understanding of AP style and media relations experience.

Job Description:

• Serve as public relations support for B2B and/or B2C clients
• Draft written materials including press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, blog posts, key messages, social calendars, brochures, webpage copy, etc.
• Research earned media contacts to develop and maintain targeted media lists comprising both consumer and trade media outlets
• Research earned media story trends to develop relevant and newsworthy pitch angles for both consumer and trade media outreach
• Conduct ongoing media outreach to build relationships with a variety of consumer and trade media contacts
• Coordinate logistics for media interviews and other opportunities
• Track earned media coverage and provide ongoing reporting on results
• Manage schedules and calendars for content and PR projects
• Support public relations team by driving tactical execution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working in an agency setting in a client-facing role
• Experience distilling complex, technical subject matter into engaging stories
• Experience pitching earned media contacts at both consumer and trade outlets
• Experience with media monitoring and reporting
• Writing samples required
• Experience managing multiple accounts and teams in a fast-paced work setting
• Outstanding organizational and project management skills
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Excellent writing skills, including experience writing news releases, case histories, and feature articles
• Media relations experience, including outreach and reporting
• Experience developing and monitoring social media strategies and initiatives
• Capable of grasping technical content in the B2B and B2C landscape
• Ability to retain and grow clients
• Ability to problem-solving skills
• A desire to play a role in a rapidly growing agency
